I just love Easter, and I have really enjoyed being able to tell people here the reason why we celebrate. It's been fun to use some of the traditional Easter things we do like coloring eggs to get people interested in what Easter really is about. Thanks, Mama, for sending the egg dye and other goodies so that I could celebrate with and explain to neighbors and friends about Easter.
Ironically this Easter falls on the same weekend as a major festival here called Holi. This is the festival of color in which people run around everywhere throwing colored powder on each other. Fortunately, I haven't been powdered yet, but we'll see what happens before the weekend is over.
Celebrating Easter here, without my family, is a little different, but we are so blessed. There are many families here in our city to celebrate with, and they involve us in all they do. I am so thankful for the people here that act as a surrogate family to us, taking us into their celebration as part of their own family. Today we had a fun Easter egg hunt for all the kids. Here are a few pictures.

FUN Times!!! Were you able to excape unscathed from any colored powder?? We weren't! Our kiddos had such a fun time with all our neighbors "playing Holi".
